Has AI really paved the way for individuals to use technology and get their work done easily?

The advent of Artificial intelligence has not only been a savior for the IT (Information Technology) industry, but a game changer in the education industry. These human-like machines have offered new opportunities, automatic administrations tasks, and have led to an improvement in the educational outcomes. With new opportunities comes new challenges for the students.

Is AI replacing the energy and effort that students have to put in when it comes to submitting their assignments?

AI is a machine-like human, but no human. Though it has all the algorithms instilled in it, we tend to use our brains less and rather focus on the adapting from those algorithms. When students take the help of AI for their assignments, they integrate AI into educations, which leads to lack of creativity created among students. This will eventually hinder the critical thinking and problem-solving skills of the students.

AI’s presence in the education sector tends to completely erase the interactions that a student develops while his schooling. “The integration of AI in education, has different approaches. One could be teacher using AI technology for teaching, another one could be replacing teacher with AI technology or student using AI technology for the learning. So, there are different perspectives. These AI applications can be used in different departments. But it depends on how we are going to use it and what is the intention behind it. There have been cases where student have become overly dependent on it. We have to understand that if we use AI for simple reasons then there is no point of creativity, it will only reduce our thinking capacity”, said Nevil Pradeep Dsouza,
